We met at a high school dance when Ben took my best friends' little sister. We starting talking because Ben played soccer with my ex-boyfriend. We both were equally....fond....of him. Haha. Then on our first date I had a concussion and it just went downhill from there. :-D In October, we will have been together for 6 years. He proposed to me on May 3rd, a week before my college graduation.
Our wedding and reception is going to be at the Ali Ghan Shrine Club in Cumberland, MD. We wanted to keep everything in the same place to save on money and make it easy for the guests. It can be a pain having to travel from the wedding and trying to find the reception. Plus, the whole place is beautiful! So, why are we having a wedding in February? We still don't have a direct answer to that either. Everyone has summer weddings, and winter can be really pretty too! I just hope the Allegany County usual good winter weather holds up.
Our reception will be a cocktail reception, so only hors d'oeuvres will be served. There will also be a cash bar.
Hotels are listed here if anyone plans on staying the night. If anyone wants to make it a great weekend to get away, I recommend looking at staying at the Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort. That is where is I (Britt) work and it is a very beautiful place. It also has a wonderful spa for any of you ladies who want some pampering! :) But last time we checked there was a big conference there that weekend, so there was no availability.

We wanted to thank all of you for your love and support during this exciting time. We created this kind of registry because we already have a lot of items in the apartment that were handed down to us from family and friends. With Ben just getting his new job, and me just graduating from college, our funds are very low for a honeymoon. So, we thought that this was the best kind of registry for us. We have created a very small registry at Wal-Mart for some extra things in the apartment (like matching plates), but this is our main registry.
